Joe Lindsey has an interesting blog entry about how to fix pro cycling. Given the events of the past couple of weeks, with ASO extentially booting Astana from all it’s events and now UCI calling for a boycott of the Paris-Nice, it’s becoming time for something to be done. I’ve only been interested in pro cycling for a couple of years but this is getting to be too much.

I like his analogy of the NHL, where too much expansion too fast has decreased the quality of play. I’ve never been able to figure out why the NHL wants teams in places that normally don’t see a piece of ice bigger than a cube that fits in a glass :)

At any rate it’s nice to read about ideas that can help fix the current situation. One hopes the powers that be in pro cycling start to take notice.
